The Netbook vs The Smartphone

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNN

They can to something like 80% of the same tasks. The remainder seperating them. Only one can win and be 'The Device' of the 21st century
But what will it be?
Will the sturdy, ultra-portable Netbook win? With it's bigger screen and storage, and more robust operating system?
Or will it's (generally speaking) higher cost and larger footprint bring it down?

Or will the small, hip, techy Smartphone win? With it's push mail, it's always-on mode, it's merging of Phone, PDA and some PC functionality see it victorious?
Or will the lesser-beefier hardware, often-clunky OS and somewhat poor inbuilt PC-functionality leave it in the dust on the battlefield for Goblins to shit on?

Yes, ladies and gentleman. Like VHS vs BETA, HDDVD vs BD,(Blu Ray for you non-techies)
There will only be one victor
